That's right folks, I've had this in mind for as long as her hair's been purple (I'll bet the boobs really distracted you from that detail huh?). No I'm not having Gar flip out there because she's a girl gamer or that he was beaten by a girl. No really I think he was thrown for a loop because he just didn't know. That's one of the first things people think about other people they first meet. If you look carefully, there was no indication from myself that Mac was indeed a boy. I carefully worded my journal messages and picture descriptions to not use any pronouns. And now that I've done that I gotta say, it is hard to find unisex descriptors. Which is why I always said "Gar's rival gamer" or some such thing. It was an experiment to see what kind of reaction I could get, and to hopefully make the character a bit more memorable. Hopefully you guys don't mind a bit of a joke on the reader. It was all in good fun really.

So tell me: Do you still feel the same about Mac? Did this little charade work, or are you feeling alienated that this character isn't all she was cracked up to be. If you're the latter, you can probably join Gar in his upside down world.
